The successful candidate will join a dynamic, professional, and respected Licensing Team aspiring to grow the licensing business of the company and influence the licensing industry and environment positively with its long-term licensing thought leadership role. The candidate will coordinate closely with many other teams/groups supporting the licensing business in its aspirations. The internal collaboration partners include the Legal Team which hosts the patent portfolio, technical support, and enforcement activities, along with a transactional legal support team, the Corporate Development Team working in the intersection of developing new business initiatives, assessing investment opportunities, and providing support in driving licensing strategies, the Research and Innovation group tasked with the world-class research, innovation and standardization activities generating new licensable assets, as well as our high-quality Government Relations and Communications departments supporting the long term sustainable licensing thought leadership and influencing goals that licensing drives. The position will also interface with the Finance team, in relation to driving integrated business planning relevant to licensing business as well as structuring of licensing deals. Together, these Teams comprise more than 500 members worldwide and include significant experience relating to standard-essential patents (“SEPs”).
