Completion of BIP 2025
CIP’s Business of Intellectual Property executive education program for 2025 completed its second and final module this week. On the first day, the thirty IP and business professionals shared the results of their Home Company Assignments, focused on integrating a value-center focus at the core of their corporate IP activities with expert feedback by Ruud Peters. The second day introduced different perspectives on how to view intellectual property management from the business leadership lens of competitive advantage (Bowman Heiden), the digital transformation lens of data and AI (Maaike van Velzen), the technology-centric lens to IPR management (Roberto Castagno), and finishing with an Intellectual Asset Management framework and method for strategic management in the knowledge economy (Bowman Heiden). On the third and final day, Nigel Swycher shared his insights and led a workshop on Evidence-Based Decision Making, drawing on his extensive career as an IP lawyer and 10-year tenure as CEO of CIPHER, where he has worked with IP executives worldwide.
We would like to thank all the participants for their hard work and the BIP Faculty for delivering another great program. We will shortly announce the dates for BIP 2026 as well as several new programs building on CIP’s value-centric approach to strategic IP management.
